taking inventory
i. the move is done, but not without incident. a nervous breakdown at u-hell after a misplaced reservation turned nearly canceled reservation and a whopping three-hour time slot to move two people’s assets (including pets) spell out a less than desirable duet of circumstances on moving day.
ii. the acclimation of one canine and two felines equates to continued drama. i’m hoping another week or so and they’ll just ignore each other. if only shaun could understand that 10-lb kitties don’t play the same way as 60-lb dogs.
iii. too much art. that’s what i have. at some point once we are hooked up to the internets again and i find a seventh wind, i’ll have to post some matted, framed and signed photos that i’m willing to part with for a decent price.
iv. vacation. badly needed and much deserved, but still too far off to fathom.
v. days like today make me envy the boy in the respect that he is his own boss. i probably could sustain myself in a similar format, but working independently has always made me a bit uneasy. the unpredictability in the economy, let alone in my designated industry, don’t jive well with my practical, formulaic tendencies. but it’s certainly something i need to investigate further.
