portfolio 2.0

if you visited treesquirrel last week when the new design was revealed, only to be disappointed after finding the underwhelming and incomplete portfolio, well be disappointed no more. last night, naz finished up my snazzy new portfolio using some cool javascript blah blah blahs.

flamingo

some of the images are oldies but goodies, particularly the above flamingo, among others that have appeared on flickr and my old portfolio. but when going back through some 8,000+ digital photos (in addition to several hundred scanned photos from conventional days) to reinvent some previously overlooked captures, i whittled the options down to 100+. still too many, naz was the final photo editor. and he made some surprising selects.

he asked if i wanted to take some out that he had fawned over, but his fresh eye was appreciated. he went on to explain the intrigue and power behind a couple images that, after further inspection with my own eyes, suddenly resurrected themselves. and if he was keen on some photos i previously deemed unworthy for web publication, perhaps others would feel the same as he does.

it is a true testament to the statement that we are our worst critics.

  1. Looks fantastic, Jen. Congrats.

When were you in Curaçao? We went there in September of last year and looooved it. Your shots from there really bring me back.

  3. Hey! That’s me! I’m in there! And that one of the ferris wheel in Seattle is my new favorite. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love the flamingo, but I’m on a tree kick lately and that one, well, it has trees.
