cleaning up, beautify
the second skirt is done, and i absolutely adore the results. a few minor glitches in the final delivery, one big set-back during the process, but all for a good cause. and, if all goes well, i may have my own sewing machine by the end of next week.
in other areas of design and creativity, i think our living room finally meets my expectations of what warmth and comfort, yet class and sophistication should be. we signed a lease for another year, so we’re here till at least the end of next may. and we figured we may as well continue our redesign quest. the color scheme is current and fitting for our tastes, we have some great art from jay ryan on our walls, and we scored a couple of awesome chairs from craigslist.
and for giggles, here’s what our living room used to look like. such a huge improvement.

I completely love that! What area of Chicago are you in? I love the balcony! I wish I had those doors! This looks beautiful inside, very comfortable contemporary.

Hi Jen,
Let me know if you and Naz ever want to do an Apartment Therapy tour. I’d love to write it up.
