this is my town

san francisco became home quickly. almost too quickly. and though that’s not a bad thing, i knew i needed to slow down a bit and take advantage of its highlights and walkability. since i have no real time commitments or obligations, i find that i don’t get out of the house as much as i should. so last week, i gave myself an assignment and a field trip: i walked to coit tower by myself with camera in hand.

this trip served several purposes—photography, exercise, exploration and reflection. though i didn’t solve any long-term life goals, i felt accomplished afterwards. i think a few more of these field trips are in order.

  2. Hi Jen,
I don’t believe we have ever met but I came across your blog and was really impressed. Your writing style is incredibly refreshing and your pictures are great. I just wanted to you let you know how much I enjoyed them.
Also, I was really inspired by your “on the hunt” post. Not only have I always wanted to live in the Bay Area but I am currently in a career that I don’t see much of a future in for myself. I would LOVE to pursue a career in writing/photography but not sure how to get there from a very analytical business background. Anyway, I would love to hear more about what type of freelancing you were doing.
One more thing, I recently started my own blog and would love for you to stop by sometime and let me know what you think. Its very new so content is light but I hope to keep building on it for years to come. Best luck with everything and I look forward to hearing from you!
